Here's a handful of rare recordings of British Dance Bands made for commercial radio in the 1930's. The sound quality varies quite a bit I'm afraid but I've done the best I can with them.

Now turn on the wireless, wait for the valves to warm up and enjoy...

Call Me Sweetheart - Van Phillips Golden Hour of Music Orchestra (1935)
What Makes You So Sweet? - Percival Mackey (1937)
Two Little Bluebirds - Peter Yorke (1937-38?)
Commercial Break
Always in my Heart - Phillips Magnesia Orchestra (1938)
You're a Sweetheart - Johnson Wax Orchestra (1938)
When Day is Done - Jay Wilbur Drene Shampoo Orchestra (1937?)

If anyone knows who directed the Phillips Magnesia and Johnson Wax orchestras - I'd love to hear from you.
