Students final touch at Lincoln-Way; West School nearly ready for Aug. 2 dedication

On the largest school site in the district, Lincoln-Way West is nearing completion. The 418,000-square-foot high school and its 20 athletic fields and courts sprawl across 100 acres at southeast corner of Illinois Highway and Gougar Road, and in August the first day of school will bring more than 1,000 students to fill the hallways. Superintendent Dr. Lawrence Wyllie led a media tour for the public to take a glimpse of the Lincoln-Way West.
