It is pemphi acidula, a specie tajem from the coralines here in the Philippines. Commonly known as "bantigue", it our contribution to bonsai.. Bantigue post the highest price here in our country

Tecnically not a great tree, the dead wood needs a touch up with lime sulpher and that first branch caould add to the deadwood betterthan being a first branch, but people are impressed with size and forget bonsai are miniature trees.

masyado nanag boring ang bantigue sa pag collect nang bonsai n winning in competetion..bantigue bonsai was naturally made in nature..what im looking for is yung ikaw ang nagsimula ...madami yan sa dalampasigan namin...trees soround in our country try to make some...from start then for sure a couple of years that would be expensive...mine was started from seeds like.molave,acacia,tamarind,bu­tterfly tree,cheesenut, umbrella tree n many more

I was going to say -- that tree is probably what the Japanese call an "eight hands" tree -- meaning it takes four men to move it, and there is one size category above that -- Imperial size or "sixteen hands."
