This is the view from a Cab-bike while commuting to work. It is along a bicycle route here. This is late November or early December 2009. A cool front is coming through, sending the temperature down to low 60s at the time of the filming. There is some wind.
Even though considered "chilly" by Floridians, I find it delightful. But in the Cab-bike, it gets a little hot. Light dress still required. At this time, I was beginning to wonder just how cold it would have to get to force me into warmer clothes.
The Cab-bike has a mighty fine heater, but I'm still looking for its "off" button and wondering where the air-conditioner is!
Speeds are not much better than a bicycle. At this point in the route, on a bicycle I did 17 mph. In the Cab-bike, speed was 18 to 19 mph. But you can carry a lot of stuff and have a radio. And it is much more comfortable.
The radio I'm using is an old car radio from a junker. It's powered by a small gel-cell battery. It is outputted to compact speakers. It takes a car radio to produce sound loud enough to get over the noises of the Cab-bike.
