  • @xMaddiexox She sniffs because she is on cocaine.

  • Magnificently enchanting

  • Nicola Benedetti plays the most beautiful and emotional rendition of William's magical "The Lark Ascending". :-)

  • i must say that in comparison to hilary hahn and janine jansen, bendetti plays the piece in a much british way xx

  • how beautiful to my ear!

  • I truly like her version but I still find Hilary Hahn's playing much more... Romantic perhaps? I do not know, I guess it's just each person's taste in violin players jeje. Yet again, loved and love her version of this masterpiece.

  • No, I don't think so... Perhaps Elgar.

  • The sniffs are natural - it would be wird if they were taken out :) My teacher sniffs like that too :D

  • I think the sniffs are maybe to do with the phrasing of the music, my violin teacher always sniffs at the beginning of a phrase. It is almost like taking a breath before beginning to sing. Personally, I think it's good that it was left in the recording as it gives it such a human, emotional atmosphere. I agree with u as well about it being beautiful! :D

  • this piece is so beautiful and Nicola Benedetti's recording of it was the first I heard. It was a revelation to me, that a piece of music could be quite so haunting and beautiful as this! x
