  • With all of the so-called docu-drama movies (Ray, La-Bamba, Lyman, Dream Girls, etc) they've made over the past twenty-five years, I fail to understand why a movie has yet to be to be made with an unbelieveable story, about an unbelieveable talent, with an unbelieveable voice, wrapped up in an unbelieveable tradgedy no screen write could ever devise. WHY NOT? For all the money Gordy made off of Wilson, HE (alone) should do it. Or maybe Nate Tarnabaums family? RIP great one!

  • @4doororphan That's a really good question.

  • A Top 5 hit for the late Jackie Wilson in the Spring of 1960. Jackie will be one of the all time greats, IMO.

  • @mkl62 Complete chart info is in the description. :)

  • That's a little like comparing apples to oranges.

  • @mickeyismyname Exactly what I was thinking! :)

  • I had the pleasure of seeing Jackie Wilson at least six or seven times when I was a teenager. Yes, it's true he was a truly great talented singer, so light on his feet, as a dancer. I went back stage several times at his concert, he was so respectful to us teenagers,

  • he had an operetic voice. i guess i tried to judge all of the other operetics by his voice, but each have their own great talent. thanks for posting.

  • @Neptunz05 actually they were both good but Jackie Wilson was magnificent, and was also opera too, nobody can compare...

  • @dirtywaterclub There's no way in hell Sam Cooke was a better singer than Jackie Wilson.

  • @jennifersenn Same goes for Sam Cooke too. Why's there no movie about Sam Cooke? What a voice?! But Jackie Wilson was the real deal, nothing like him at all. Sam Cooke had the greatest singing voice maybe, but Jackie Wilson wasn't far behind, and Jackie was the man with the moves. He had it all.

  • @dirtywaterclub No one around now is as talented as him, but they could make an incredible movie if it was made by the same folks who did "The Temptations" mini-series back in '98. Those actors did a great job portraying the Temps. Jackie's story should be told, though. There's been talk of a Marvin Gaye movie for years, but no one ever follows through with it, either.

  • Innocent Blood!

  • My father my he "rest in peace" loved this song!

  • Jerry Vale had nothing on this stellar talent.

  • @4doororphan I don't think there's anyone out there capable of portraying Jackie Wilson on screen and getting anywhere near to showing how amazing he was.

  • @4doororphan Back in the mid-90s there was a show in Chicago called "My Heart Is Crying, Crying". I never got the chance to see it, but I have to wonder if it would be a good basic skeleton for a movie. LOVE Jackie.
