  • does this shine through well when it comes to the drums?

  • @troper151 To be honest, My amp is always miked through a PA system whenever I play. Under those conditions there is no problem. You would need to try it for yourself. Sorry I could not be more helpful answering your question. Regards, Mike D P.S. It also depends on the style of music you play, and how hard your Drummer Hits.

  • do you use the 112 or the 212? i want to get the 112 - so its easy to carry! but if there are good reasons to go with the 212 then i will.

  • @metaljacket65 I use the 112 version of the amp. I also have different cabinets 2-12, 4-12 etc. It depends on the venue that your playing. If your asking for my opinion, go with a112, and buy an inexpensive cabinet so you will have some different options. Regards, Mike D

  • I’ve heard opinionated people label the Line 6 SV MKII as a “Metal Only” amp. In a very clandestine way, Mike dispelled that myth. At least in my opinion he did. There appears to be a myriad of useable clean tones here. So Mike, as pro-guitarist, does this thing have all you need when you play live? Do you find that you need any additional foot pedals or effects to shape the sound you need for live shows?

  • @SuperMelLowD Yes it does! If you listen to my Live Vids with NY Sensation that are on You Tube, All I am using is the amp miked through the PA System. I created some original patches, and I think they sound Great! Again, this is my opinion, and fortunately for me the opinion of all most all the people who comment on my vids. By the way, if it was only a metal amp, there would be no need to have all the other mods and the myriad of effects etc.. Action speaks louder than Words! Regards, Mike D
