FINAL visit to Amity and ride on JAWS

Video footage taken from my final visit forever to the Amity area of Universal Studios Florida and final rides on JAWS. Taken on December 7th, 2011 and December 8th, 2011. The Amity area including the JAWS ride officially closes forever, in exactly a week from now, on January 2nd, 2012 at 9 P.M. The area will then be completely demolished and is expected to be replaced by Phase 2 of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, which is rumored to contain the London side of the Potter universe, with a recreation of Diagon Alley and a Hogwarts Express ride which will transport guests between the future The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios Florida and the current The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Islands of Adventure.

Very upsetting to witness the loss of this great original attraction and an entire themed area of the park. The park will definitely be moving even further away from their nostalgic "real movie/TV studio" and "Ride the movies" theme from 1990 to continue focusing instead on newer attractions based on current contemporary media properties that people are now into. After JAWS closes along with Amity next Monday, E.T. Adventure, the Horror Make-Up Show, Animal Actors and Mel's Drive-In Concert will officially be the only 1990 original attractions left still operating at the 21 year old theme park.

Goodbye, JAWS and farewell Amity island! It may be safe to go back in the water now, but we will still miss you very dearly and will most assuredly NEVER, EVER forget you! You will, and will always be, a very significant and founding attraction in the history of Universal Orlando Resort.

Its a shame jaws has to go but they have to update areas to get more people to universal studios but, im glad that i went on this ride before they close it R.I.P

Its So Sad i loved this ride so much glad i went on it when i had the chance RIP
