I'm NOT a pen collector, but this pen has changed my mind on the luxury of a good quality writing instrument. It feels really substantial in your hand and has over 50yrs of science behind it from the fact that it utilizes the Fisher Space Pen cartridge refill. This pen is also Made in the US and that is definite plus in that you can tell it's construction is of high quality. The machined deep knurled grip is made for non-slip use. The built in 301 grade stainless steel clip provides a secure fit in a variety of uses. Check it out. You won't be disappointed.

  • I just went through a refill in 25 days. I'm a physics student at college though, so I gotta take a lot of notes. ;-) Anyway, it's kind of neat when they run out. It writes fine and then suddenly the line starts breaking, then half a sentence later it's completely dead. Not much warning!

  • @xylenol15 Oh wow....25day?! That's not good :( My thoughts on that episode would be that MAYBE the storage of the refills by the distributor is in harsh conditions and that could influence the short life span.

I agree with your statement of how it warns you (as in does NOT warn you at all....haha.). That happened to me. I wasn't happy.

How do you like the pen though?

  • @xylenol15 Excellent. I am raising the white flag. A physics student wins 100% against any argument I would ever have about materials, temperatures or misc. variables. ;)

I can imagine how nice the stainless and titanium versions must be. I'm too cheap to buy those. haha.

  • Thumbs Up if Everybody Loves Raymond!!!

  • @stopstickers You're killing me over here! Ha!!

  • @CyberCacique1 Cheers for not being a tool about the comment and having a sense of humor. Nice vids btw. :)

  • @stopstickers No worries. Life is too short to be a tool. Haha!

  • @CyberCacique1 Oh, 25 days was actually quite reasonable under the circumstances. I filled (very roughly) 300 pages of paper in that time. Anyway, the cartridge is sealed, so high or low temperatures shouldn't really affect the ink volume. I have the stainless and titanium versions and like them a lot; I like the stainless the best, always did like heavy pens. I ordered the Al version too, I have an element collecting streak and enjoy the density differences. Expensive to do though.

  • @bikermonster77 You make great points. As for the screw-on top, I knew about that going into the purchase, but I do agree that it can be extremely annoying at times when you would rather keep it on the pen rather than off to the side on the writing surface or in your pocket or something like that. I have learned to live with it, but I can completely understand that being a major turnoff for some people.

  • I have used the Embassy pen on and off for the past month and I'd give it a 3 out of 5.

Pros: Solid build and reliable ink cartridge (fairly smooth writing, but noticeable resistance)

Cons: Trying to find a place for the screw-on cap while writing and the mid-piece unscrewing along with the cap when trying to open it.
