really nice collection ! :)
similar story here: i so remember the "gateway" days. Their ads were all over the pc magazines i read back in the days. I remember them being the "cooolest, fastest, etc." system out on the market (marketing OLEEE) - at least in Europe.
I had mine picked out too, and then of course my parents bought me a ...... COMPAQ ;)
ah, memories :)

How can you have not played King's Quest? Another big hole in your collection is the Space Quest series. How can you have missed Roger Wilco, space janitor? I foolishly traded my Grim Fandango away, after having played it twice.

@ZoneFighter1 I recognize there there are some missing franchises, but remember, I was pretty young when these games came out and my allowance only allowed me to buy so many, so some had to fall by the wayside.

Cool video game collection. Got several of them myself, except I started collecting when I was about nine back in '89. Love the Monkey Island series (not too happy about the fourth, but the new episodes are great though) and more or less all the other stuff from Lucas Arts. If you haven't be sure to check out both Loom, Sam & Max and Day of the Tentacle (all available as CDROMs). My Sierra favourites are Larry, Police Quest and King's Quest (not the seventh one, though). Gabriel Knight rules :)

@zeegratar I hear ya buddy. S&M and DotT have been on my want list for quite some time. It always saddens me to learn of these awesome games that I just know I would have loved if I had known about them when I was younger. I still want to play them, but it's a bummer that the young me never got to play them.

hey by any chance, do you know the name of an old pc game game where you have to collect all the gems/jewels in a certain pattern to pass the level. I think it was for Windows 98. You where inside what I think it was catsle or old building and you had to follow these trails of "gems" sometimes they overlaped and if you chose the wrong way you lost and had to start over.
