Blue Skies (Jim McGivern)

Personal rendition of Willie Nelson's Song (and others at www.youtube.com/jmcgiv). This one was inspired by a request from my (very darling) daughter, Molly, who, while visiting her in Kona, 2008, asked that I show her the chords for "Blue Skies." We took a picnic lunch to Kealakekua Bay, sat on black sand and strummed ukes for two hours or more. Thank you, Molly, for suggesting that experience. I will always fondly remember that day and the visit (one of several I have made to watch my talented baby act so adeptly and professionally at the repertory theater near Kailua-Kona). If and when we ever move from Black Diamond Ranch, it'll be back "west" to the Pacific coast or Hawaii to be closer to my kids and grand-kids. That's a promise.
