I was caught off guard when i saw a baby fish tail hanging out of one of my female guppies so i quickly moved 2 of them to the baby tank and they had their babies! I was a lil too excited if you couldnt tell lol. There are a few baby danis in w the guppies. I was sooo happy to catch this on video!

  • My guppy gave birth friday night

    5 got eaten

15 left how many will make it?

  • @cuzidontcare you have to remove any big fish in the tank or they will all get eaten. Normally you would have the preg guppy in a seperate tank when shes near having her babies then take her out which is what i did. Or you can use a birthing net/seperater that just sits in the corner of a tank and the babies fall thru the bottom part so they are safe.

  • no breeder?

  • @canlovesham It was my first time owning guppies i had never bred fish before and between them and the danios i had a ton of babies. But i put the female guppies in a seperate tank 2 gallon and they had their babies and i removed the mother after they were all born. I had about 100 guppy fry. I dont have fish anymore now though.

  • Cool video I've been trying to find out info on guppies cuz I've been greasing them I have about 15 right now and 4 of my adults are pregnant so this is a cool video

  • @MamaTasha09 thanks for all your help tasha! i might buy them this weekend ! :) thanks for all you help and i'll give you an update when they're calmly swiming in my tank! :)

  • @rafa3lico oops i meant 8 lol ya 2 and 6 would be your best bet.

  • @MamaTasha09 lol, that equals 10 xD so i should get 3 males and 5 females or 2 males and 6 females?

  • @rafa3lico that would be fine make sure you tell the person at the fish place you want 2 male guppies and 4 females. Females are less colorful have a rounder tail and mails are smaller and are very colorful some with longer tail fins. Or if you wanted to get 8 guppies id say 3 males 7 females.

  • @MamaTasha09 mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, if so then i might just get a bunch of gupppies, so, i buy 2 males and 6 females?
