FFXIII - How to kill Long Gui - Easy method (5☆) [HD]

This method shows you how to kill the Long Gui in FFXIII without having to have severely leveled up characters, The trick is to deploy Vanille's summon monsters so that the ultima right at the start of the battle misses, deploying will also knock the Long Gui from it's feet, giving you a chance to defeat it.
*Reminder* - Don't forget to use aerosols and equip the Genji Glove to all characters before you go into battle
Step 1. Summon Hecatoncheir
Step 2. Debuff and poison Long Gui
Step 3. Once you have chained your Gestalt meter to full, and given the Long Gui debuffs and poison (Remember, poison is the most essential part of this battle) enter Gestalt mode.
Step 4. Use the Chain Cannons attack with Hecatoncheir to delay as much as possible while the Long Gui's health drains from poison.
Step 5. Once all of your characters are back in battle, debuff the Long Gui again, and use Libra to identify weaknesses, make sure you have a Synergist in a paradigm at this point to buff you with Enfire.
Step 6. Switch to a Sab - Rav - Rav paradigm to chain to stagger, once staggered, switch to a Sab - Com - Com paradigm.
Step 7. Beat the hell out of the Long Gui, and keep casting Death with Vanille until it is finished.

How Many Dark Matters do you need I got 7 so far is that enough

@TheNoire007 Only 6 are required I'm pretty sure, 5 are needed for accessory upgrades, and only one weapon requires Dark matter for upgrade, which is the Tier 2 version of Sazh's Procyons, the Betelguese Customs.

@TheNoire007 No, it was due to Fang's Instant chain ability, exactly the same as Sazh's

@TehGreenSleeves All true the only thing that annoys me when your in Gestalt Mode I miss like 2 seconds to do chain cannons (Up & A) plus he gets up too early but overall your walkthrough is best I don't understand y you don't get more views

@TheNoire007 Thanks a lot man, and yeah, the key to it is making sure you get the stagger as early as possible, as every attack with enfire just destroys him at that point. As for the views thing, i think the same, but I think most people will just click the top choice when they search the video, as other people have a lot more views on theirs.

can i beat it? my chars barely have 2k hp tho

there's something I must be missing because when I tried this (about 10) times. it eventually recovered and I dies. and I"m using characters that are maxed out in all but one category each. Lightning has enfire and I get to use it but when the Long gui is staggered I can't get it dead and spamming Death doesn't do much.

I'd say that Fang, Lightning and Hope are my best choice ^^

@TehGreenSleeves Yeah that's true about the views but with no shrouds I know Lightning will take long to cast Enfire & that's time wasting for the Long Gui to get up
