i loved the demo, and i'm like you i have no knowledge of the franchise but when i first head the words spacemarine ,ultramarine,i just laughed because how "silly" it was and then you fight orks and goblins lol

@DrugMan24 I love the RTS and it does take itself serious there but it's not as indepth as it tries to be here. Here it comes off little to silly =P

I'm sorry, but if you seriously think Gears of War 2 and 3 took themselves less seriously than this game...sorry, does not compute.

Gears 1 was less serious if anything, 2 and 3 tried to humanise the characters (especially Dom) and failed SO, SO HARD, moments that should have been emotional (Dom having to kill his now brain dead wife for example) were either utterly laughable or left no impression whatsoever.

40k however has always had this sort of tone, so you taking an issue with it confuses me, if you're familiar with the franchise prior to playing it :S

40k is serious... Read the books. Its Grim and dark.

Please get the lingo right in the game you are reviewing.

Orks in the first games do not act like they do in the stories.

Chainsaw? I see a chainsword.

The orks coming from the front are a distraction from the big threat. Read the books you will see it happens.

The weapons in 40k are set. There are no new weapons besides the Vengance launcher. If they dont get the ok from GW then it does not get put in. They are pretty acurate to the lore.

I think one thing you kinda forgot to mention was how they managed the feel of the epic armor

like having the camera rumble when you sprint
