  • Seria válido (no sentido que você tome como ippon) fazer o corte como aparece

em 1:27 - 01:30? Quero dizer, primeiro colar do men lado direito e depois bateu o

    esquerda (como quando você Kirikaeshi)

It would be valid (in the sense that you take as ippon) make the cut as it appears

at 1:27 to 1:30? I mean, first hit the right side men and then hit the

    left (like Kirikaeshi)

  • @Swordman0 - Sim, creio que ali seria um Ippon sim.

  • traduccion a ingles o español?

  • @DreamerTrain

  • @foroparapente right, art and hobby

  • I always like this stance and jodan the most, as unorthodox stances that is. I'm not sure about you guys but I feel like blocking in kendo actually hurts you more than it helps you. Waki messes with you distance/spacial reasoning, but I feel that not blocking against is key or at least better. I think if you whiff a cut you're better off going through with the attack ie 3-5 steps pass your opponent and turn. Im interested in here what fellow Kendo peers think.

  • cool watch.

  • @jadekayak01 Maybe. I don't know much about sword fighting (only weaponless fighting). Only did the translation since someone asked to.

  • @foroparapente too right but the two don't work together and so many kendoka think they are learning swordwork

  • @untseac I have to disagree with the last statement-you watch the hands and the body so it matters little weather you can see the blade. Also waki is not generally used as an attacking kamai but a "defensive" kamai or a "sucker" to draw in or entice a specific attack-mostly a men cut so you can counter

  • do you by any chance mean waki no kamai

  • @mior1 bollox, kendo is a sport, kenjutsu is a hobby
