In the electric vehicle world the manufactures always talking about regenerative features. Without a very large array I have never seen anything that is able to give back more than 5% in braking, downhills etc. It is always a gimmick, If you are able to give 5% back to an electric vehicle (an extra 3-5 miles over a 100 mile ride) is it something that should be advertised? For any other reason than trying to get someone to invest in an Idea that is not a real world factor??
I own a vectrix Vx-1 electric maxi scooter (in many ways remarkably similar to the above)
It is software limited to 115kmh (68mph) and only has a (real) range of 50-60km. However having ridden everything from mopeds to superbikes in the last 20 odd years and i can tell you that for any commuting i will not go back to petrol.
Very nice animation. Great concept. However, I wish we were all making MORE ACTUAL vehicles!
I've converted a Kawasaki to electric, and plenty of my friends have built electric bikes too! It's not tough, and it's good, clean fun - a great way to get around.
