Piano Arrange on the Stage 4 Theme in Touhou 12 - Undefined Fantastic Object.

A small tidbit regarding the title. 'Mary Celeste' was a brigantine merchant ship that was discovered in the Atlantic Ocean. It is unmanned and apparently abandoned in the open sea, despite the fact that the weather was fine and the crew being experienced and able seamen.

The Mary Celeste was in seaworthy condition and still under sail heading toward the Strait of Gibraltar. She had been at sea for a month and had over six months' worth of food and water on board. Her cargo was virtually untouched and the personal belongings of passengers and crew were still in place, including valuables. The crew was never seen or heard from again. Their disappearance is often cited as the greatest maritime mystery of all time.

I believe the arrangement of this theme was made to fit the atmosphere and mood of said ship. Then again, that is just me.

Many speculations were made about the Mary Celeste, though I'm sticking with Murasa on this. *cough*

  • "This is extremely beautiful and stunning piece. It has the calm tone of the wind, the mysterious tone of the sea and the rocking tone of the busy ship. The ghost is cute too. I wonder what happened to the crews of Mary Celeste" - Message found on an abandoned ship 'kkcwkoh' [6/7/2011]

  • The random tidbits of information and knowledge that arrangers possess never fail to surprise me; sometimes, I get the feeling that I'm learning more from Touhou than from school itself.

...Anyways, was this artist ever featured on this channel? I don't ever remember seeing "八方塞がりスキマなし" or "Shikata" on the circle or artist labels.

...Guess I should be keeping an eye on that circle.

  • Hmm... "Mary Celeste"... I've heard that mystery a looong time ago. It was very intriguing at the time, but now it just makes good song. Such as this. Truly mysterious. Song. *disappears*

  • @MisterBeaverSaysNo Definitely agree with you on both counts of it being a great piano composition, as well as dead zone.
