Silent Hill's music is all about context. Despite seeming hellish and creepy in-game, these songs are actually REDICULOUSLY WELL COMPOSED, AMBIENT, AND CALMING, if you listen to them closely. It's all about placement and context.

This song actually can calm me down when I'm mad...never figured a song from a soundtrack from a videogame could do that...but it is Silent Hill I suppose lol

@DrFUNbox BRILLIANT idea!!! <3

@SuperhumanChichi this song is not in the game. a very small snippet of it is on the Maria subscenario Ending

This soundtrack and the game maybe over 10 years old, but they were WAY AHEAD of their time.

@Applesbleed That's basically how I felt when I finished silent hill 2. It's a cleansing of sorts.

This is my favorite OST. The fact that it has a stagnant and very retro feeling, and it sure calms me down LOL
Reading the comments I think that there should be an actually Silent Hill created. Not like those crappy theme parks but like the actual place like the game where there is fog and those old siren speakers to play the OST in static while you walk around, even monsters you could kill (though they would have to be fake)..... but I can only dream. -sigh- /sorry, for bad my bad English/ but wouldn't this be neat?

@GamerDog51 Well, at least Silent Hill makes more sense than this world.
