my car was like that too i have a chrysler 05 town and country i've had this problem once -car was used before lasted 14 months- i took it to the auto clinic and they put in a whole new fuse box which solved the problem -almost- when they got it running for 5 min it shut down so they took it to the chrysler dealership they recoated the wires the were burned (which is weird) then they started it again but it seems to shut down again soon they found out that one computer was burned out

its a starter motor problem, the starter is enguaging but if the motor itself is munched then it wont turn the engine over..

i bet it is a battery issue, im sure you already fixed it. but just for future reference the headlights being bright doesn't necessarily mean the batter is charged enough to turn over the motor. also, doing that over and over is a good way to burn out the solenoid.
What happened was that the battery connectors where clean enough so that the battery was working and rusted enough so that the starter didn't have enough power to start.
