  • what kind of clay do u use?

  • @BornArtist2000 I use Chavant clay. It allows you to sculpt very fine details, and it's firm enough to let you grab your sculpture without squashing those details. If you want it softer, just warm it with a heat gun or hairdryer.

  • Hi i am wondering umm, where to you get the latex for your molds? and what is it called?

  • @GOOBER11r1 There are two types of latex out there, at least by name: Mold-making latex, and mask latex. Mold-making latex is said to be a bit thicker, but I've used both types without noticing much difference. A lot of crafts and hobby shops have latex. Do a google search too. There are many online companies selling both mold and mask latex.

  • Hi, thank you so much for posting your video. I am currently making puppets of my own. I used epoxy putty to make my heads. I was wondering what materials you prefer to use?

  • @Chellimation My pleasure! Thanks for stopping by and watching :) I prefer to make every part of my puppet soft, so I use latex for the puppet "skin". I pad the bodies of my puppets using upholstery foam, from old matresses and cushions.

  • @GOOBER11r1 i got a mold making one at michaels in the U.S

  • @LeashRox No problem :) If you feel you need any puppet-making tips, just drop the questions in my message box. Lots more room for longer and better answers there.

  • @bluworm thats great thanks :)

  • @LeashRox One way would be to do a head out of a polymer clay, a clay that hardens in a kitchen oven, and do several mouths the same way. Then you can attach the mouths to the head using sticky putty. Most people simply make a plasticine head, like in "Wallace & Gromit", which can be changed into any expression. The rest of the body can be made in another material.
