If you're going to read my two-year-ago blogs (which is I think impossible hehe). One of the common topics I had is about change. We all know that change is constant and it always happen. For the past two years I always find a way on how to change my own personality. I admit that I am childish and I want to remove it in my personality. I don't want to be selfish and self-centered anymore. In short, I want to grow and mature. And this simple wish was suddenly met in just 3 weeks.




That's the experience I gained during our Summer Community Immersion in Valenzuela, Liliw, Laguna. I thank God a lot for leading myself in this kind of experience. It is truly fruitful. Honestly, I finally found the friends who I can be with forever and that is the Valiw Family. We all grow and mature during this community immersion. We have a lot of differences but we also have great similarities with each other. We have a committed heart which tends to serve the other people and lastly; We have a kind of unique love with each other which make us bonded and intact.

The scenery of Valenzuela also gave an ambiance of emotions and memories. Specially the Lapad River found at the tail of Valenzuela near the quarrying site. In this river, we share and experience a lot of memories and stories which make us know each other more. The river knew our own secrets and because we already established an excellent rapport with the community people and the nature of Valenzuela they are now waiting for our return. As we leave, we promised that we will go back.




At the end of our community duties. We had a fieldwork sharing last May 23, 2009 at the Mandell Hall. Among all the videos I made. This is the most mysterious. Because it has a factor which I can't explain at all. During the time I played this video in front of 400+ people, many people started to cry and they feel relaxed at the end of the video. This is actually a simple video presentation about our own experiences and lessons that we've learned during our community duty in Valenzuela, Liliw, Laguna.




I chose the song Tabing Ilog by Barbie's Cradle as a background music for this video because the lyrics of the song reflects all of the emotions and things that we have in our mind for our second comfort zone.
