This doesn't glorify anything. It shows the very real problem many people have, as for many, a medical solution is far from perfect.
-
I hope to see this show in my town.
-
I'm so glad I discovered this musical. I too miss the mountains. :\
-
@brianatleftyfilms Say what? Glorified? What are you talking about?
-
@alyslikesfao Yes, it makes sense. She tells you herself that she MISSES the mountains. When we miss something, it makes sense to want to return to it.
-
@TotallyRandom6353 I'm fairly convinced that whatever I say is going to be "wrong" according to you. It's best to just drop this conversation.
-
@brianatleftyfilms Have you ever taken the time to talk with them about how it makes them feel? This song/show portrays the feeling you have perfectly whenever your emotions are supressed by medication.
-
@TotallyRandom6353 I lived with someone who was Bipolar for four years, and have known them even longer. There are MANY relatives with bipolarism in my family.
-
@brianatleftyfilms You obviously have never been affected by someone with bipolar disorder. If you had been, you would be taking back your words.

@alyslikesfao I can't sympathize with a sick person that does that. It should not be glorified.
The "Mountains" is a metaphor for the highs and lows of her mania. And when she uses the pills all of her emotions are leveled out. That's what an anti-depressant does to you. So when she says she missed the mountains, she misses the ups and downs of her emotions. So she's throwing her pills away so she can have that up and down feeling again. Does that make sense?
