@sarahscollage We willl pray for them as the spirit leads... as for your first answer, I disagree. My experience as been overwhelmingly opposite... Most Churches "that I have seen" do not have healthy leadership and accountability...
Shalom

1. I meant that most churches DO have healthy leadership and accountability.
2. I'm okay now, i have been blessed with much healing. But several others are still struggling several years on. If you feel led, your prayers for them would be appreciated. Many of them have shied away from church, or God altogether.

@sarahscollage Did you mean to say most churches do or do not, have a healthy leadership and accountability system?

So in this situation, even though Saul was doing something that was wrong and probably not Holy Spirit inspired, David still conceded. It was also indicated where I was that God is our vindication, therefore we should not try to vindicate or assert ourselves if we felt something was wrong. This scripture was used in support.

@sarahscollage Hello sis... First of all, Saul was annointed and chosen (by God through Samuel), as recorded in 1 Samuel chap. 9 and 10. Many of these so-called pastors and preachers are not anointed or chosen by God. They are hirelings and good under-shepherds (John 10). The proof of a true man of God is found in the fact that he has proper understanding of Scripture (2 Tim 3:14-17). Secondly, I read the original text in this video, read it yourself, in its orginal context... Shalom

Hi again! I have heard this scripture used to support the 'touch not mine anointed". 1Samuel 24, when David cuts off a corner of Saul's robe and then is grieved. Basically, the way it was used, it seemed that whatever happened, there seemed to be no limit to the situation in which this scripture could be applied. Saul was hunting David down wanting to kill him. Would be interested to know your comments as I am writing a blog piece on this topic and would like to better understand the truth.

@sarahscollage please see my previous response... Saul and David situation was an isolated issue that, even in principle cannot be used. For instance, we are called to contend for the faith (Jude 3-4), stand for what is right before God. Even Paul instructs the Ephesians (and us) to no participate in unfruitful deeds, but we to expose them...(Eph 5:10-13) so many pastors use "touch not my..." as a way to avoid accountability. This is wrong and unbiblical... Teacher are held to a higher standard
