In this episode of Pacific Pulse, Tania Nugent samples Vanuatu's booming dive industry and looks at the employment opportunities thats creating for local people. She meets Henry Worek who's led the way at the deep end, becoming the first ni-Vanuatu to qualify as a certified dive instructor in his own country.

Bernadette Nunn meets the Cook Island crew reviving the ancient navigation techniques of Polynesias proud mariners who conquered thousands of kilometres of ocean in vakas, or traditional canoes. The Cooks crew sailed from Rarotonga to American Samoa for the Festival of Pacific Arts and are determined to ensure the skills of their forefathers are passed on to todays youth.

And we finish with some dramatic dance from Fiji, the aptly named spear dance, performed by men.
