An old tune by Johnny Mercer. I wanted to play with some Chromakey and this seemed a likely tune to play with. The music is performed by myself and my friend "The Amazing Carl."

  • The more I hear you sing this song, the more I cry. Your "back up singers and musicans" are benign and cute, and fit the tenor of the song. I love Mercer's imagery of the modern cowboy, riding the range in a Ford V8. Do you have a special attachment to this song, why did you choose it?

  • @Grafgirl333 I chose it because it popped into my head one day. I thought it would be fun. I had just started playing with green screen video and it was fun.

  • This is the BEST version of this great song that I have heard. Thanks Rocker Bob!

  • @lendag55 Thanks! Its a silly song so it suits me well.

  • Hello there, John (jomi) introduced me to your music a while ago and I have been sitting here having a good old look and listen. This one is brilliant as they all are. I hope you are sending your work to the TV channels? Its brilliant!

    Best wishes

  • Whenever i hear or read this song i remember Steven Spielbergs Inner space and the "cowboy" XD

  • You have to read only the lyrics of this song without the music. Its hilarious.XD

  • yippee-ki-yay, motherfucker!

  • It's a beautiful song. A classic. You have a good voice, if only you stopped joking around, mocking it!

  • I love this song. 1st time I ever heard it was when Lucy and Ethel did it on I Love Lucy. You do it very well. Thank you

  • Ah, the ole classics. The chief problem with being and old cowhand is some body parts no longer work, and the parts that do work are sore.
