  • Some of you people are so short-sighted. Would you rather enemy combatants surrender to our troops or fight to the death? The way we treat our prisoners is the most important thought in a person's mind when he decides to surrender or fight to the death. Which combatant do you think will be easier to defeat? If you lack the morals to resent torture, then at least consider that.

  • shep smith makes good points

  • Ooops...

  • @CitizenBeta2 In Texas under then-Governor George W. Bush, the state convicted and sentenced to prison for 10 years a county sheriff for waterboarding a criminal suspect... Bush did not issue a pardon for the sheriff.

Waterboarding was designated as illegal by U.S. generals in the Vietnam War

It was also called water torture when the Japanese did it to U.S POW's.

    en.wikipediaDOTorg/wiki/Waterboarding#World_War_II

I've nearly drowned before, I'd rather have splinters under the finger nails...

  • @RachTrinity Well i'll tell you every thing that makes America great its constitution and its liberty, The notion anything else makes it great is just arrogance.

Well yeah the decent ones who believed in freedom form government like Jefferson Madison and Benjamin franklin would have I didn't say this was the first time america's founding principles were violated the very same people who signed the Constitution passed the Alien and Sedition Act, an act which horrified the likes of Jefferson.

  • @CitizenBeta2 blah blah blah . SO NOT Tell me what AMERICA IS.. I know my country.. very well.. tear up the founding principles.. really they would be horrifed? HA do you know what went on during the Revolutionary War?? The Civil War???? the founders were not sitting there worried about water pipes up noses.. trust me. This rosy colored view is what gets us in this situation.. you fight and you win.. PERIOD. Torture, please. it was NOT TORTURE!E

  • Sorry, this is fox news?

  • @RachTyrnty So what if your american. America is the constitution and its founding principles, to tear them up or ignore them is to DESTROY the nation you wish to protect. Torture is forbidden by them , the founders would be horrified at what is happening to the Republic.

Patrick henry said "Give me liberty or give me death" not give me absolute safety from terrorists or death...

Besides America would be safer if it''s government stuck to the constitution and advise of its founders anyway.

  • 5.15 guy in favour of water bater says its torture... Freudian slip.

  • Hey shep.. do us all a favor and stick your head in a water stream. Man is a buffoon. I am an American and I gladly defend water up the nose to protect my nation.. GET OVER IT -- Shep is a moron for the Left always has been always will be. You think this is some memo game??? Grow up.. this is war. WAR. until you realize that you live in a fantasy land.

  • Shepard Smith is amazing.

Also if you think torture keeps "innocent Americans" safe, you're kind of retarded. By kind of I mean "really". Go fuck yourselves.
