@EnigmaDrath well if they make a sequel then this could have been one big trailer for a better film (one using the plot you mentioned.) like you said, people were hyped to see were the plot went with the alien/man and dissapointed when it went no were. very clever and sneaky advertizment by the makers of this film.

@121Mayan Well they were making a second one. There's a very high chance that they were going to explain what was going on in the first one. But I don't think it'll happen because the first one got terrible reviews.

@JingTheKingOfBandits if you are right and maybe you are but they should have explained that in the movie instead of us piecing it together for our self it's called a plot. And man calling every one idiots just because you have your own theory about what was the reason for the aliens coming and invading the earth doesn't mean you have to speak like your some damn genius bro just my opinion

This is how the movie should have STARTED!
Pretty generic the whole way through, and then finally this happens and the audience sits up, intrigued, thinking that we're finally in for some kickass action and compelling storyline and ... credits. People actually booed in the theater I was in because this is the movie we wanted to see: guy becomes an alien, but refuses to abandon his love and goes through the movie fighting to get her to safety, even though it's too late for him.
