I'm 18 and I won't get a credit card maybe until I'm 21. I believe that credit cards are mainly used for emergencies only. It is also best to have cash rather than a credit card because you know how much you have in your wallet and you know that you can't buy more than 40 dollars or w/e. It also helps you save. I always carry cash usually around 20-40 bucks also depending on what I'll be doing. Shopping, movies, out to eat, etc. It's a good way to balance your spending also.

This is why i love cash cuz you know your limit and it looks cool lol. but i have the american express pass card so if i gt my wallet stolen dont have to worry about money being stolen

I have a debit card. I like to spend my money wisely. I love to shop and when it comes to online! I go pretty crazy, but then I think about being broke. Lol. I hate not having money. So I kind of give myself an allowance every pay check. What I can spend and what I need to save. So for those people who have that problem try that method.

I have a debit card and I must say it saves me sometimes when people ask to borrow money and I don't want to give it away because I don't have paper money (:

I have a few credit cards. I haven't used them in a while but yes I did go over the limit. I was careless and didn't monitor myself close enough so I am in debt. Ever since I've been trying to pay it off and been really good leaving my cards at home. I'd say it's been almost 6 months to a year I haven't used them. So a few months ago one of my credit cards raised my credit limit to $500... Tempting but I fought it. All I want to do is pay them off cause it's stressful.
