  • do you have to buy additional lenses to get that good of a picture?

  • @Retrowinter

The Red Camera is only a body that provides the sensor and operating system and so on. There are many many choices in lenses you can attach. basically the type of lens you use does make a difference in sharpness and light efficency, but for instance this was shot on standard nikon lenses by using a pl-mount. so anything but the best of lenses. what really makes your picture is always lighting the scenes, don't worry if you cannot afford the red prime lenses or some like that.

  • I am a huge fan of the lighting in this trailer, it looks absolutely fantastic. where can I find credits or get the names of the gaffer and DP?

  • @keithdatSKRdrift

DP and gaffer was the same person: Michael Jörg

    michaeljoerg.de ;)

  • recent conversation I had with a "producer" of a possible feature coming up

    myself: "yes I have the non MX with a five lens kit, 25 35 50 85 at T1.4, and a 12.5 at T3.5"

Producer: "that all sounds great but one question, do those lenses have a depth of field option?"

    myself:"....."

    producer: "..or setting?"

  • wow thats real Movie Quality you see in theaters.

  • Looks cool, but it still looks quite videoy to me. I know, it IS technically video. I shot 2 short films on 16mm, and you don't have to do anything but throw a light or two up. Bam. Looks awesome. Video/hd/hdv you REALLY have to do everything perfect just to almost get it to look cinematic. Then you have to do major color correction. I'd stick to film, but with what's up (or should i say down) with Kodak going bankrupt, film may not be a choice very much longer.

  • is it enough to shoot family videos?

  • @0:50 That is one unnatural looking melon o_O

  • @keithdatSKRdrift haha isnt depth of field like how shallow the focus range is or something?

  • i dont think he's the guy but the younger guy looks just like the killer from midnight meat train but smaller lol
