UN is as much of a joke as the LON was. I mean if the nations in the UN are as strong as they claim, use force. The point isn't to gain alliances, the point is to stop shit such as genocide and war.

there is one good thing the UN did, they set up a team of inspectors to look for WMDs in iraq , ... they did not find any but it made no difference. the US still invaded

@MvpNyc actually, the UN didn't do much of anything in Rwanda. The U.N. troops stationed there were not allowed to shoot the hutu army or militia unless THEY themselves were fired upon. Tutsis being macheted didn't count. The hutus knew this, so they rarely attacked U.N. eventually they pulled out and let the genocide continue unhindered, as if it ever really was. Rwanda has gone down in history as one of U.N.'s greatest disgraces dude.

@theCamelCase Oh ya was the US fault for failing to stop the UN, France, and Russia for them getting involved in the oil for food scandal making billions of Iraqis ? All you do and sit and point fingers at us. And UN can't tell nations what rules they have or not. They don't have any rule over our constitutions. Same can be said for other nations. How about the UN getting involved in the north/south Korea tension now? did they take action? Typical anti-American.
