The Ganges (Ganga) is the major river in India. It's worshiped among India's Hindus in its personified form as the goddess Ganga. Situated on the banks of river, Varanasi is considered to be the holy city of Hinduism. It is visited every day by hundreds of locals, religious and tourist who go there to pray, perform rituals, bathe, wash clothes, swim or take a boat ride on the holy waters.
