Defining mind, consciousness, spirit, soul, Transego, etc. is not that easy not even for Epistemologists. To be able to define mind and locate it in and out the brain we need to have a wider and deeper philosophical, scientific and epistemological background, due to mind for instance is part of the above aspects of the ALL from which we share and contain a bit. Then mind is not separated but related to all the other elements, not just to the physical brain. More to come... Greetings from Ecuador

Indeed... but regardless of all that, the mind is still created by the activity of the brain. Does that mind still exist when the brain is no longer functioning? When you first learned to drive, did your mind reach outside the car right away or did it develop overtime? I understand what you're saying, but even then, you can't separate the two. Anything that will alter the function of the brain, will alter the mind (eg. drugs, trauma, meditation).

@Spetsop Not that I'm an expert but the brain is the organ, meanwhile the mind is the influence of the brain inside and outside your body. If you hold a stick in order to push somebody, then your mind reaches at the tip of the stick. If you drive a car and move the car around obstacles, your mind reaches to the outside of the car, otherwise you would crash all the time.

Wait, I don't understand why she is separating the 'brain' and the 'mind'? Is she a philosopher and thinks that the 'mind' exists outside the brain? Surely being in the position that she is in (i.e. the medica profession) she realizes that the 'mind' arises due to the function of the brain! Does an action potential exist somewhere outside the neuron or is it simply due to the activity of that neuron? So why would you separate the brain and the mind?
