Alabama Senate Fight

Tonight, following the cloture vote in Washington, tempers flared in the Alabama state Senate. A Democratic senator, Lowell Barron, was so upsed, he called one of his Republican colleagues, Charles Bishop, an SOB. Bishop promptly decked him.

For all the "Typical democrat/republican" arguments being made, I'd like to point out that the issue isn't about what party they're from, it's about what they did.

The guy who punched was being violent and thuggish, while the person being punched was being a bit of a jerk. Both are to some extent at fault for the incident, but this isn't representative their parties.
