The lucet is an ancient tool for making very strong and robust cord for various things. I have used the cord from a lucet for shoelaces, drawstrings and even as a paracord substitute!

  • Definitely, you would need to use a narrower wool, perhaps cotton string rather than wool. I would suggest nettle fibre as it can be plied quite narrow but strong. If you do have a go, make a vid and let me know!
