Latin America is a geographic division as well though (since we're talking about countries), and is officially divided into 4 regions, North, Central, Caribbean and South.

So yes, Mexico is a North American country, and part of the Northern region of Latin America. Then again, so should half the USA be ...

@NDRonin1401 How can someone be so wrong? 'Latin America' is called like that because of the languages spoken in certain countries, while 'North America' refers to a geographic division and it has nothing to do with language.
