i live pretty close to like 2 of them in my neighborhood and i can see one through my back window.

@ratherlargetuna city websites usually host info about upcoming events such as auctons and stuff, but i counldn`t find exact info on what was being auctioned

how do you find out about these auctions? i live in dfw too. i wouldnt buy one, but itd be interesting to see.

they do sell them at public auctions..:D and yes i would think that they wont fit in anyones garage..lol

yes it was "Parts of the system are more than 30 years old. This system has become a maintenance nightmare, as failures become more and more prevalent and replacement parts have become difficult or impossible to find. Residents have complained that some of the sirens either fail to sound adequately or to sound at all during periodic tests and actual emergencies. Even if 100% of the sirens were operational in all tests and emergencies, some parts of the city would still not be adequately warned.
