Okay, so this is my first remix ever. It was born from the idea of what the song playing in the ponies' heads during the gala would sound like, hence the three more or less distinguishable parts in the song; when they go in in hopes of living their dreams, when they become disappointed and everything goes to hell, and when they eventually realize that despite things not turning out how they expected, it really was the best night ever.


I'm gonna go a bit on a tangent here and say that I worked on this on and off over two and a half months. During this period I went through a couple of rough patches, and working on this was sorta like a safe haven where I could escape my troubles. I guess you could say working on this healed me, and I hope I was able to transfer some of that into the song itself.

Question: I am writing another song and I need the vocal tracks from into the gala. Would you mind telling me how you got them? (They no longer have them on EQD...)

@christkids I got them from the iTunes rip of the episode. I first converted the episode to .wav, and then imported it to Audacity. Since the audio of the episodes is in 5.1, each individual channel is shown in Audacity, and you can choose to mute or erase everything you don't need and just keep what you want, which will probably be the center channel. I could upload the vocal track for you if you want, though. Shoot me a PM if you'd like me to. :)

@buzzin92 I'm really not sure how to go about doing this; FL Studio doesn't allow exporting FLAC files, and converting an mp3 to FLAC kinda defeats the purpose of FLAC in the first place... would a .wav file do? I'm open to suggestions. :)
