Where Are You? (Part Two)

Demi: *Nods* What kind of challenge?

Joe: *Chuckles* The love challenge, I want to see if you can live with out me for a whole entire day, so no commutations..what..so..ever.
If you pass, I promise I'll love you forever.
"But, why would I do that?"
"Are you up for it?" he said smiling
"You'll love me forever?"
"Forever." he said hugging me tightly
"Then..I'm up for it.."
"Okay, well I have to go help my dad."
"You're still working for him?, i thought you were looking for a new job.?." i asked, concerned.
"no point in that." he mumbled..
"huh?"
Not answering me, he turned away and opened the door.
"Joe?"
"Yeah?"
"What's up?"
"Happy anniversary, babe." he said giving me a quick kiss on the lips and then headed out.
"i love you." i shouted before he shut the door, he quickly replied..and then he was gone..

(Demi's P.o.v.)
I was dying for this day to pass! I would grab my phone to call him and put it back down as I remembered about the challenge. I laughed at the thought of it, but it was cute. I spent the whole day thinking about him, and wondering if he was thinking about me as well. What is he doing? What is the purpose of this challenge? Why wouldn't he want me communicating with him? He's not the type of guy to cheat, but that's what I thought about the others. We had our past and he used to do a few things he wasn't proud of, but he said he changed, and he'll never do it again. I can truly say I believed him but sometimes I have my doubts. The thought taunted me, but I tried my best to ignore it. Somehow it found its way back to the center of my mind. What if he's making out with some random chick right at this moment. When all im doing is thinking about him. It was around 8:00 P.M and I was getting really tired. I Went upstairs to my room and turned on the computer. I started chatting with a couple of friends. By the time it was 10:00, I was completely jaded on the computer table. I had fallen asleep.
(NEXT MORNING)
I woke up really happy and excited, because today was when the challenge was done. I get to see my baby again and that caused me anxiety. I was rushing my way to his house, when I spotted people by his doorstep. Whats going on??, I asked myself and my pace began to decrease. By the time I was infront of his house, I slowly walked inside with thousands of questions going through my mind. why is his whole family here? Why does everyone look so depressed? And then my mind went to zero as I walked closer and closer to the living room and spotted his mom crying. I reached in more and saw a coffin. I looked around and couldn't find Joe. I opened my mouth to ask and Selena walked over and put her arm on my shoulder.
"Dems....", is all she could say as fresh tears accumulated in her eyes"
Demi: what! What's going on!
I walked towards the coffin ,as I saw Joe lying there......lifeless.. I had no words, my throat was dry as if needles were being thrusted into it. I couldn't keep myself standing. I fell down sobbing next to the coffin. "W-what happened to you !??", I cried holding onto his hand. "Baby don't leave me!!!" I glanced at his clothes and noticed he was wearing the same outfit he wore when he left my house yesterday. Except something seemed to stand out. There was a note inside his pocket.....

" You did it baby, can you do it everyday? I LOVE YOU.....forever"

(Ps. Joe was suffering from cancer. His life was ending, and he knew he only had 24 hours left to live)
