@jakehadlee true it cost the govt about 35 000$ to keep one prisoner. Also prisons are becoming private or being purchased by the rich and build more. Wonder why.

@razehey Apparently, they tried locking up prisoners in pants and blankets but they kept escaping, so they had to pay for things like guards, buildings etc.
