in choir, we had an assignment where we had to choose a song and ONLYYY by listening to the song 50 billion times [in which we did], had to harmonize it.

Diction and proper lyrics in the correct order are your best friends in music. Something happened to that friendship when y'all did this song. Next time, keep that friendship strong. Maybe then you won't say "buy my... Breath fucked up the glass" instead of "but my breath fogged up the glass".
