India is just making its false claims for LCA in order to influence the world due to the failure of LCA.It will be outdated by the time it comes out in full production(2015). What a waste of time and money. I can’t figure out India when it comes to projects like Arjun and LCA. The Arjun-project started in 1972 & now 40 years later all they have to show for are prototypes, same story with LCA induction. Its world first fighter aircraft which has been inducted & still need operational clearance.

Another overlooked point is that... even though the LCA might turn out the be a failure (which it isnt) ... It opens up a lot of options for the future... for example FGFA project which although involves lagely the modification of the PAK FA to meet IAF requirments, it is something that India couldnt do 10 years back....
-
actually the LCA isnt so bad.... it did meet a lot of requirements but the problem is arent requirements of this century.. it did however meet the requirements of the IAF had about 10 years ago... There are many good and bad things about the LCA.... Fact still remains that India needs to have domestic defense industries to assert itself on the world... Every country had a lot of problems in the beginning..

ooo comeon you dum shit aleast we have produced something of our own rather than begging from other countries .What your airforce has achieved over all these years.you cant even pay off a bill of 2 billion for F-16 jets and you calling LCA a failure
Its just about time WHEN iNDIA WILL BE PRODUCING all jets of its own . and you will keep on begging it from china .nad yes go and blow yourself up .thats the only thing you ugly half dic are renowned for

Congratulation to IAF on induction of LCA. But now in IAF there is a divide on LCA. Some want to turn the LCA into a advanced jet trainer due to its failure as multirole fighter, others are still convinced that it could be a success and some want to produce despite its drawbacks and just use it as a point defense fighter like the MiG-21 (which it is suppose to replace). Now that would be a achievement, producing a 1960´s MiG-21 kind of fighter in 2015.

@flanker35su if you think its a piece of junk why did you bother to write such a long and bias message???
you should be happy, in case of a war your air force will easily beat these airplane!! no need to worry man!

@aviatormikehunter what has your country achieved?

@aviatormikehunter DRDO chief VK Aatre had said about the LCA Tejas’ “We have developed a fighter aircraft in 30 years and it still have a long way to go”. Air Chief PV Naik’s gave critical remarks at the initial operational clearance (IOC) of LCA that "LCA is just a 3 or 3.5 generation aircraft when it was actually supposed to be developed as a fourth generation one and and it will be used in IAF with limited operational capability", exposes IAF’s dissatisfaction with LCA’s development.
What did Indian Air Force (IAF) achieve in twenty six years while consuming over $2 billion? the answer to that is Zilch; Zero; Nada; Nothing – except a failed project and a continued embarrassment in the shape ‘Tejas’. Tejas LCA (Light Combat Aircraft, also known as LAST CHANCE AIRCRAFT) has gone many trials and tests and there’s no sign of induction as yet. It has now been announced to enter IAF in 2015. almost a failed project.

As for as LCA is concerned its a piece of junk,if we can benift from existing technologies why don’t try it.why are we rigid and that’s the reason india has become such a country, whose every indigenous project ended in failure with the waste of thousands of failed hours. Now india wants to induct LCA as soon as possible in IAF even with its limited capability and defects just to save its FACE.IAF has decide to induct 20 LCAs by 2017 with limited capability even lower then MiG21 bison.
