As an american college student with ADD (i know i know... "the fad disease of academia") who is currently struggling to finish a very shot (10 page) research paper, this just angers me. Even though I spend six hours working on assignments that others can finish in one, I would never stoop to this. Sure, I've cheated out of laziness here and there, who hasn't? But this just crosses the line for me as I sit here killing myself over a paper that my peers are paying for.

Im 100% sure the student has a language barrier. However, that doesn't mean she is stupid. It is just harder to express her ideas on paper. Furthermore, she may even have a disability like "Dyslexia". Its more ignorant to make fun of someone without looking at the big spectrum.

The first line of that e-mail...Lord have mercy...that is so sad. And that is a PhD student? No...no, no no. This is not ok. I just graduated from college and I am going to continue on to teach. I understand students that a trying to learn English having that kind of trouble, but if you grew up speaking it, you won't get away with abusing it that way in my classroom.
