Sonic Unleashed (Wii) - Final Boss: Perfect Dark Gaia

Well, here it is, the final battle! What a battle indeed, though! When I first got to this battle in the game, I loved it! Every phase was very different (if not exactly unique), and it actually had some difficulty to it before I figured out the details (although it was still easy to S rank on the first completion).

The phases can be summarized as follows:
Phase 1: Punch-Out!
Phase 2: Day Stage
Phase 3: Somewhat out of the ordinary generic Super Sonic boss thing

This fight is far superior to the 360/PS3 version... That version's final battle is overly long, especially drawn out (having to do phases 1 and 2 three times each, *yawn*) and has absolutely ZERO variety between the phases. The 360/PS3's version of the final boss can be summarized as follows...

Phase 1: Fly at Dark Gaia, push some buttons
Phase 2: Run at Dark Gaia, push some buttons
Phase 3: Fly at some snake-head things that are a part of Dark Gaia... push some buttons

Very... VERY stale gameplay right there...

The Wii/PS2 version, on the other hand, even if it is not as "difficult", I find most of the 360/PS3's difficulty coming from trying not to fall asleep while fighting it! Enough ranting though...

I kept the cut-scenes in this video... because I know there will be some people who want to see them. Yes I was not even trying to use effective "strategy" during the second running phase... XD I always seem to get hit by a meteor during the last attack with Super Sonic everytime I fight this boss... bah!

I will be starting a new game tomorrow, updates will be more spread out because the videos take a long time to do.

i managed to get the S rank with wii remote and nunchuck only and it took some practice but in the end it really isn't that hard.

@xamelich Oh really? first of all, every phase had QTE, so if you have good reflexes, you would easily pwn all phases. second of all, there was no veriety in any of them. Last of all, dark gaia was more challenging than perfect dark gaia because on dark gaia,because sonic was not super.

@kztar621 I know it wasn't an insult or anything! besides that's not a fact. it's some bullshit excuse for why no one can find the REAL final boss! you think I don't know what's REALLY the truth? I've had more experience in sonic games in about 5 years than you ever will in your life! so why don't you use your damn head and LOOK for ALL of the red rings in EVERY level! try to see if you can find the 2nd boss and then reply back! say all you want, I'll prove you wrong!
