Vlogging Tips: How to Jump Cut

A simple, step-by-step tutorial on how to use a jump cut in your vlog. This was done using Sony Vegas, but it can be applied to other programs as long as you have a basic understanding of how to edit.

Of course I'm the one who makes tutorials on the most obvious things in the world. :P

I understand that jump cutting is usually a bad thing, but you can get away with it when vlogging. Many of the most popular vloggers on YouTube use this technique all the time, and when applied correctly it can make your videos look smooth and professional. On the other hand, if you do a crappy job of it you'll end up looking stupid. Good thing it's easy. ;D
