1986-1989 NBC Major League Baseball Theme

This theme (composed by Clark Gault) debuted during NBC's coverage of the 1986 World Series. It wasn't the proper/main theme (a la for the "Game of the Week" along with postseason/All-Star Game coverage) until 1989 (their final year at covering baseball before CBS took over).

I believe the first time I heard this theme was during the '86 Mets World Series with Boston.

Amen to that!! If you hear this theme and aren't moved to getting those sping tingling hairs or even tears (yes I'm almost crying listening to this) then you weren't a fan of baseball in the 80's...this is a timeless classic and one of the great sports theme's of all time....thank you so very much for posting!!
