@MrBenchy35 you're getting it perfectly! Richard Feynman said: "If you think you understand quantum mechanics, you don't understand quantum mechanics"
Richard Feynman is one of the biggest names in QM, and is quite good at explaining it. If you do a search on google or yt for his name you'll find a plethora of information. I always find it helps to have a drink or two (or 3) before delving into QM. Good luck :)
