The dot mode in emacs helps you to repeat the just entered command. It is similar to dot "." command in Vi. To install dot-mode in emacs you need to have this file: http://www.emacswiki.org/emacs/dot-mode.el
Copyright information from dot-mode.el
Copyright (C) 1995 James Gillespie
Copyright (C) 2000 Robert Wyrick (rob@wyrick.org)
The video belongs to Aditya Bankar.
In emacs vs vi this was one of the missing things in emacs. But it isn't anymore.
