Honey Bee / Macro Photography

At a nursery I came across these bees begging to be photographed. I am soooo glad I had my camera. me on electric violin play Memories because I can't play Flight of the Bumblebee. :)

What kind of lens are you using? You have great clarity--something very difficult to do on a moving subject when shooting macro.

This is so lovely, and so important considering the current demise of many honey bee populations abroad and in the U.S., due to a chemical whose use was not sufficiently studied or blocked by the EPA. Thank you for this charming video and music.

When I was 20, I used to be afraid of bees-learned from my mother. I didn't want my own kids to fear them, so I pretended to be ok around them...one day, I discovered i really was! Now I photograph them close up.
