Bozo the Clown doesn't clown around when it comes to raising money to support literacy programs in local schools and libraries. As a part of Bozo for Books, Bozo's World Literacy Campaign, America's most iconic and famous television clown is hosted a book signing and Bozo's National Pie Throwing Competition, a charity pie-in-the-face contest, at Book Soup in West Hollywood on August 22, 2010 - Interviews with Susan Harmon (Widow of the late Larry "Bozo" Harmon) Igniter Literary Group publisher/NY Times best-selling author Neil Strauss and "Bozo The Clown". Exclusive interviews by Arista Ilona

In the book, Harmon and McKenzie recall some pretty crazy tales about America's most iconic and beloved clown:
*There was a 10-year wait for tickets to the Bozo Show.
*He famously wore size 83AAA shoes.
*There were over 200 million TV viewers in 183 markets across the globe.
*It was Caroline Kennedy's favorite show during her childhood.
*Ronald McDonald was adapted from Bozo.

I was scared of clowns from watching Stephen King's IT. But Iwas five. Now I've realized that there's nothing to be afraid of. All clowns are, are friendly people that wanna be your friend. So, don't be afraid of them ever! I learned that the hard way.

A shame Bozo wasn't portrayed by a far better actor in this clip! Makeup and wardrobe do not a successful clown make!
